Attacks Crushes, eats, and possesses Pikmin, attracts enemies

The Doom Bulblax is a bulblax in Pikmin: Doomed Time that has been corrupted by and infused with doom essence. The Doom Bulblax is much more aggressive than other grub-dogs, being able to rapidly eat up to thirty Pikmin at once and corrupt Pikmin into Doom Pikmin using the doom essence emanating from its backside. While in battle, it will occasionally roar, in a manner similar to the Emperor Bulblax, to attract nearby grub-dogs to its location. When it realizes it is about to die, a Doom Bulblax will shake off its attackers and jump a short distance into the air, killing anything unfortunate enough to be beneath it when it lands.

Despite its array of attacks, a Doom Bulblax may be engaged in combat in much the same way as any other grub-dog. However, care must be taken to avoid having Pikmin become Doom Pikmin due to exposure to doom essence, which can be done by whistling them away when they begin to glow purple. Once it reaches seventy-five percent health, it will attempt to corrupt its attackers into Doom Pikmin by spreading doom essence over them. If any are converted, have a small group of Pikmin dispatch them while the rest continue attacking the bulblax. The Doom Bulblax will periodically use this attack from this point onward. After reaching half-health, it has a high chance of using its roar attack. This attack can be interrupted by throwing a Pikmin onto its face to make it flinch, but avoid throwing it into the creature's mouth. At quarter-health, the creature will begin to use its jumping attack. Although extremely time-consuming, a Doom Bulblax can be killed by leaders. Avoid its deadly bites and jumps, being careful to not take steady damage from prolonged exposure to its doom essence. It is wise to switch leaders for this purpose, although the Radiation Foil will negate damage from exposure.

Notes

Olimar's notes

This unlucky beast has been infused with doom essence amping up its biological strength. Curiously, this creature does not sleep or relax like a fiery bulblax, which is why I decided to call this beast a doom bulblax.

Louie's notes

Take out its liver, tongue, eyes, and ribs. Next, dice them and drop them into a vat of marinara. Then, when the doom essence disappears, you can stir-fry them adding chopped onions, squash, and add a bit of seasoning. Cook until golden brown, then serve your guests, which I hope you have twenty or more of because of how much meat there will be. Trust me, they will never forget the natural grape flavor and the crispy satisfying crunch.

Pikness's notes

This was an unfortunate bulblax that got infected by doom essence. I looked at this specimen's insides and was astonished to see a big pulsing purple blob. Maybe the essence is actually a parasite hiding under layers of froth. Nah, that can't be it. This specimen is also very delicious, although I hesitated to eat it. Nonetheless, it seemed to taste like grape, maybe a breakthrough?
