A glow seed is an item rewarded by Lumiknolls for completing night expeditions. They are used to summon Glow Pikmin in caves.

Glow sparkles return in Pikmin 2... Again? with a complete redesign. They resemble small, sparkling, lime-green seeds, unlike their previous incarnation, and can be used on the surface, before entering a cave, to create Glow Pikmin where they land.
