The Gooey Cavern is the fifth cave in Pikmin: The War of the Pikmin Planet. Blue Pikmin are needed to defeat the boss. It is located at The Warfield.

Sublevel 1

Enemies

This small sublevel is seemingly empty, and the hole is in the middle. However, if you approach the hole, a Goolarva comes out. Goolarva are little cell puddles that drown all non-Blue Pikmin. If you attack it with Blues the fight won't be hard. Jump down the hole.

Sublevel 2

Enemies

A Wollywog guards the hole of this watery sublevel. It can be defeated using old school tactics: throw Pikmin on top of it, call them back when they get knocked off, repeat until dead. As for the Water Dumples, just swarm them.

Sublevel 3

There are no enemies on this sublevel, but there is a challenge. This sublevel is a long path filled with water, with a clogged hole at the end. However, it is surrounded by non-stopping fire geysers! To get your Red Pikmin across, throw them over any puddles, and use only a small group. Destroy the clog with your Reds.

Sublevel 4

Enemies

  • Wollywog
  • Water Dumple x10
  • Goolarva x3

The water in this sublevel is really deep, and your Blue Pikmin will have their work cut out for them. The hole is blocked by a clog; have your Blues destroy it, and the water drains. A trio of Goolarva come out of the hole; take them on one at a time. Once all of the enemies are toast, jump down to the final floor.

Sublevel 5 (Final Floor)

Enemies

You land on the smaller of two islands, surrounded by an almost infinite sea of water. In the middle of the other island is the boss of this cave, a Goolix. In this battle, it isn't the Pikmin you should be worried about; its your Captain. Any one of the Captains take a lot of damage from it. To make things worse, for every quarter of it's health that is depleted, it increases in size. Just keep your active Captain away from it, and you'll be fine. When the Goolix dies, it seems to evaporate into the air, revealing a flash drive. This item lets you see a map of whatever cave you are in. Next stop: the Cliff Cave!
