The Greedy Long Legs is the second major boss in Pikmin: Rising. An ancient arachnorb, the Greedy Long Legs is found on sublevel ten of Desert Keep, inside a giant treasure chest. It is considered completely invincible before discovering its weak point. It is very similar in appearance to the Beady Long Legs, but its entire body is gold in color, it has triangular blue markings on its leg segments, and it has spikes covering its feet. The sphere that makes up its body can be lowered on a chain from where the legs intersect, and can also be opened into two halves.

Unlike other arachnorbs, the Greedy Long Legs moves only in cardinal directions and never moves diagonally. Its feet are also covered in spikes, which Pikmin can be skewered and killed on, but Rock Pikmin are unaffected by the spikes and can be used to break them. It isn't necessary to destroy these spikes but it does make the battle easier. Needless to say, the Greedy Long Legs can crush Pikmin under its feet as it walks, but it will occasionally stop to furiously stomp in place, which will cause coins it stomps on to fly outward and knock over Pikmin and leaders they hit. The Greedy Long Legs' signature attack is to lower its spherical body on its chain and use it as a wrecking ball, which will move along with the beast and smash Pikmin in its path. This attack is only ever effective for fifteen seconds at a time, after which the Greedy Long Legs will retract its body to its original position. It is also during this attack that the Greedy Long Legs can be made vulnerable to attack, by throwing Rock Pikmin diagonally at its lowered body, causing it to collide with the creature's legs. Doing this forces the arachnorb to fall to the ground and open its body, revealing its vulnerable organic core, onto which Pikmin can be thrown to inflict damage. Red Pikmin and Rock Pikmin are recommended for attacking this part of the Greedy Long Legs as they inflict the most damage. After five seconds of the core being exposed, the halves of its body usually covering it will begin to shake, serving as a warning of their closing. Any Pikmin still attacking the core will be deflowered and thrown back upon the two halves closing.

After its core is destroyed, the Greedy Long Legs will drop the Flash Memorizer before collapsing and fading away.
