The Masters of PNF-404 and the Rest of The Universe, or simply the MPU, is a mysterious cult-like group appearing in Pikmin 5 as the story's main antagonist. The group was founded an unknown amount of time after the events of Pikmin 3 by an as-of-yet unnamed Hocotatian after hearing the news of the Koppaites' triumph, and then researching PNF-404 by looking through the notes of Olimar and the Koppaites and old documents concerning a mysterious planet that the ancestors of the Hocotatians and Koppaites may have come from and he believed to be PNF-404. He assembled a group of willing followers to claim the ancient technology on PNF-404 and use it to take over the universe. During Pikmin 4's events, the cult heads for PNF-404 and finds a mysterious lab; in it, they find a device that can use energy from a different dimension, which they plan to use to take over the universe by kidnapping Black Pikmin to power the mysterious device with. At the end of Pikmin 5, the cult's leader is defeated by the captains and their Pikmin, the is cult is disbanded, and its members imprisoned by the military.
