In Pikmin: Redemption, the Muffinbug is a Breadbug afflicted with spores from a Puffstool, giving it a bloated muffin-like appearance. It waddles around on its short, stubby legs and puffs clouds of poison gas. Upon sighting approaching Pikmin, it waddles as fast as it can to escape, which isn't very fast. It's a rare enemy. It will run around for about thirty seconds after being spotted before burrowing into the ground and never coming out. It has much vitality, so beat on it as hard as possible to defeat it before it escapes. Defeating this rare enemy is its own reward.
