The Pinkeye is a disguising enemy appearing in Pikmin: Decayed Leaf. The creature coincidentally resembles the Flamer from the Kirby series, having a red body with one large eyeball in the center, with 4 pink bumps with holes to emit flames. Despite having no wings or propellers, the creature can achieve flight normally.
The Pinkeye will float around idly until approached. It will then burst into flames, before backing up and viciously charging at nearby Pikmin. Non-Red Pikmin will be set on fire, and Red Pikmin will be flung back from this attack. The Pinkeye will always charge straight forward in a line in any direction it chooses. It will knock itself back a few feet if it runs into a wall or the ground when charging. The charge attack of a Pinkeye can be especially devastating if it’s performed on a large group of Pikmin.
The Pinkeye can be taken out with the right Pikmin types. Throwing Red Pikmin at the creature is an effective method due to their fire resistance. Snapdragon Pikmin and Statue Pikmin are good substitutes. Throwing enough Pikmin on the Pinkeye will cause the eyebulb to be weighed down to the ground. Dart Pikmin can kill the Pinkeye in one hit, like with most eyebulb enemies. Overall, swarming the creature with a large group of Red Pikmin is the most effective option.
In Overlord mode, the Pinkeye is significantly faster and can turn while charging. Their charge attack has a very small chance to kill Pikmin.

- “The Pinkeye is quite the odd creature. It’s able to float in the air because it’s extremely light, despite its build. It’s quite hollow as well, which allows for airflow to keep the Pinkeye moving. Through the use of a waxy coating and internal heating organs, the Pinkeye can easily ignite itself and charge its foes through condensed pressure and friction, which gives it the power to strike its foes down.”
