In Pikmin: The Winds of Light, the Royal Snagret appears exclusively in the Royal Wraith's Palace as one of the Royal Wraith's pets. Three appear in the lower-left arena of sublevel two and must be defeated to progress, and three more appear in round three along with forty Dwarf Royal Bulborbs on sublevel three. It resembles a Burrowing Snagret, except with purple scales and plumage and a crown on its head. Except for the stabbing hazard its crown poses, it can be fought in the same way as a Burrowing Snagret, as their behaviors are identical.

- “This subspecies of Burrowing Snagret seems to be trapped within the Royal Wraith's Palace. Despite having the ability to dig its way out, the snagret chooses to stay instead. It would appear as if much, much more sinister work is going on here than was first suspected. More studies will have to be done.”
