Rust Bulblings are a species of grub-dog debuting in Pikmin: Other Frontier. They have a dark orange hide, light gray skin, and red irises, and typically stay in small groups alongside other species of bulblings and dwarf bulborbs. As larvae, Rust Bulblings were fed a diet of metallic compounds that began to naturally form over their bodies, creating an iron shell that rendered them immune to instant death by having a Pikmin thrown directly on top of them. To properly dispatch a Rust Bulbling, it must be swarmed. Otherwise, Rust Bulblings are similar to their ordinary relatives aside from having slightly more vitality.
