Submerged Castle is a cave in Pikmin: The Pollution that is based on the cave of the same name in Pikmin 2. It has five sublevels and five De-Pollutionator parts. The Waterwraith is the cave's ever-looming threat and boss, appearing on all but the last sublevel after three real-time minutes have elapsed, and appearing on the final sublevel when its position is approached. Only Blue Pikmin and Green Pikmin may be brought into this cave, but Violet Candypop Buds on the final floor allow the production of Purple Pikmin, which are required to defeat the Waterwraith.
Several different strategies may be employed to complete Submerged Castle. If a clog is covering the hole to the next sublevel, one leader should take some Pikmin with them to have them work on clearing it while the other leader, with their Pikmin, searches for and collects the De-Pollutionator part. If the Waterwraith appears, have one leader distract it while the other works, always keeping an eye on Pikmin busy and idle. If speed is required, have both leaders focus on finding and collecting De-Pollutionator parts and, afterward, getting to the hole to the next sublevel.
