The Viridian Kroopus in Pikmin X: Deep Freeze is mildly different from its Pikmin: Shadows of the Future incarnation. An uncommon inhabitant of the Karst of Gales, it has flowers on half of its tentacles, while the rest are bare and used for walking. Instead of shooting jets of air, it will hover a bit over the ground and spin rapidly, generating a whirlwind around itself that flings Pikmin around and into its mouth. They must be whistled at to draw them away from the epicenter of the whirlwind, or else they will be eaten. The Viridian Kroopus can not revive itself after death.

Attacks Depetals and eats Pikmin, blows Pikmin away

The Viridian Kroopus is an uncommon kroopoid appearing in Pikmin: Shadows of the Future. It resembles a green octopus with a small flower on the tip of each tentacle and one large flower on the top of its head. It initially stays partially rooted in the ground, with all eight tentacles sticking upright out of the soil. When approached, it emerges and circles around the closest leader or Pikmin. It will periodically blast jets of air from its rotating flower fans to depetal Pikmin, and can also blow them away with a large gust from its head flower. If all else fails, it will devour two to five Pikmin at a time by jumping on them. When defeated, it makes a comical honking noise and falls to the ground. Be careful, as this enemy can revive itself after being defeated.
