The Biowog is a strange and extremely complicated creature appearing in Pikmin: Planetary Evolution. It will go primarily after leaders and does twice the amount of damage to them than a normal Wollywog does. The creature is biomechanical, and it is unknown how and when it became so. The Biowog's body is infused with mechanical armor and other internal parts to improve its offensive capabilities. The metal is incapable of rusting under any circumstances. The metal exoskeleton is highly reflective when the creature is submerged in water and will become gradually duller in appearance the longer it moves around on dirt ground.

Notes

Olimar's notes

A very strange creature, I wonder how it became bionic. Biowogs have a tendency to attack Louie and me before they attack Pikmin. These creatures have thick metal exoskeletons covering them for extra defense. The exoskeleton serves a second purpose as well: extra weight to double offensive damage. Internal pieces augment the improved Biowog's capabilities even further. Extreme caution is to be exercised against this curious creature.

Louie's notes

Edible, although peeling back the thick metal exoskeleton requires a considerable amount of effort. Afterward, the soft fleshy insides are exposed. Be careful, however; mechanical pieces are located inside of the beast as well.
