The Pit of 100 Trials is a mode in Pikmin 8: The World Beyond that challenges the player to complete all 100 sublevels. It is unlocked after completing Story Mode. It is the only mode, and additionally cave, where it is possible to have all Pikmin types in one place, even Glow Pikmin if any glow seeds are available from Story Mode. Difficulties

  1. Normal – the normal version of the Pit of 100 Trials.
  2. Spicy – a hard version of the Pit of 100 Trials. More enemies that aren't in the normal difficulty appear here.
  3. Ultra-Spicy – an even harder version of the Pit of 100 Trials. Every enemy is now a dark or shadow version of their normal counterparts. They have more health and attack power, and the final boss is much more different than in the 2 previous difficulties.
