Hazards Storm

The Stormy Ocean is the first postgame area in Pikmin X: Deep Freeze. A perpetually storm-lashed coastal region, the landing site is kind enough to be in a safe and dry spot under a large rock. The majority of the other covered alcoves in this area are small, however, and most of the area is exposed to the harsh rain and winds which sweep away Pikmin and cause non-Blue Pikmin to drown. To mitigate this, several Brelleaves can be found growing in the Stormy Ocean, which leaders can use like umbrellas to protect their Pikmin and ferry them between the safer spots covered from the rain. Other vegetation includes but is not limited to ferns and shore grass.

Beware of lightning strikes! These can be detected before they hit by the presence of sparks crackling on the ground, and they will incinerate non-Yellow Pikmin and cut through Brelleaves on contact.
