Attacks Drowns Pikmin

The Shingleshell Turrusk is an enemy in Pikmin: Shipwrecked Stargazers. This gastropod is creamy yellow, with lighter splotches around it's body. Its two tentacles are tipped with green, and it's ribbed shell is brown. The shell has numerous holes in it, revealing orifices on it's skin. The overall design is meant to be similar to Leonardo's fighting vehicle.

This creature slowly creeps around the floor, moving around in a small area. From it's orifices, it shoots globs of water at random intervals, usually without provocation. As you attack it, be it with Pikmin or leaders, it will get frustrated and spew a flurry of water balls. Blue Pikmin, being immune to water, are ultimately the most viable option for this. When defeated, it's flesh will turn a drab, soggy gray and it will shrivel up in it's shell.

Notes

Olimar's notes

The name of the Shingleshell Turrusk comes from it's shell, shaped like some roof shingles on Hocotate. This unique gastropod defends itself by expelling a runny mucus from numerous pores in it's skin. The mucus can cause irritation and burning in some creatures, especially if it gets into the eyes, but it asphyxiates pikmin due to it's near water-like composition.

Louie's Notes

The acrid and inflammatory mucus in this shelled mollusk prevents it from being even close to the next escargot, but it's intricate shell would make for a great party bowl for your next big gala, provided you clean it thoroughly. Also looks promising for use as a chandelier in a intergalactic seafood restaurant, but i'm no interior designer, so I might need help on that.
