Attacks Crushes Pikmin

The Turquoise Wollywog appears in Pikmin 251 and is a close relative of the Wollywog. It is remarkably different from other amphitubers in that it can jump several more times its height than other wollywogs can. Other than that, the Turquoise Wollywog behaves like most other members of its family, sitting idly in one spot until it sees or detects nearby leaders or Pikmin, where it will turn in place to face them. If they approach the creature, it will leap high into the air, hovering for a moment before falling to the ground far below and crushing anything unfortunate enough to be under it.

Turquoise Wollywogs bear a striking resemblance to normal Wollywogs, only differing in skin color. Needless to say, the skin of a Turquoise Wollywog is turquoise, while its back has purple spots and its belly is pale yellow. Its feet are green and its eyes are red.

A Turquoise Wollywog is much easier to battle than its relative, the Pink Wollywog, as it stays in the air for so long after jumping. Instead of swarming it with Pikmin, throw Pikmin onto it. It is helpless against the Pikmin latched onto it so long as it is in the air, meaning it can often be killed with no casualties. Be sure to call off any Pikmin attacking it before it lands to prevent those Pikmin from being thrown off and potentially losing their buds or flowers.

Notes

Olimar's observations

What was once an exclusively subterranean species has since evolved to survive on land as well. This move to land seems to have had an effect on their skin color. They can be found around the Mystical Beach region, along with Dirigibugs and Jellyfloats. This time, their jumping skills have increased greatly, as they can jump around twice as far and high as before. Yet, they are less agile then their pink counterparts, so its not all bad.

Cookin' with Louie

Wollywogs are best ground up, shaped into a patty, and flame-broiled on a grill. Slap on tomato slices, lettuce, onions, ketchup, and slide the patty between a sesame-seed bun for the ultimate beast-burger experience.
