Crimson Candypop Buds are red Candypop Buds that when non-red Pikmin are thrown in, they will change into Red Pikmin. In Pikmin 1, there was a 50 Pikmin limit before the flower wilted, but Red Pikmin also counted towards the limit. In Pikmin 2, it was changed to 5.

In Pikmin: Attack of the Breadbugs, Crimson Candypop Buds can be found in the Inferno Territory. Three of them form a triangle shape on a small ashy island connected to the mainland by a small path. Each Crimson Candypop Bud converts ten Pikmin of any color before quickly wilting and disappearing. They regenerate every three days.
