The Dry Bulborb is a bulborb in Paper Pikmin that, despite its ghastly appearance, is not undead. It is a severely dehydrated bulborb and returns to normal upon entering water. Likewise, a bulborb without access to water will eventually deteriorate into a Dry Bulborb. They are extremely lightweight and can be carried by one to two Pikmin. A Dry Bulborb can be painted to tame it, causing it to attack other enemies.

The Dry Bulborb has only two attacks: it may either Pikmin normally, where it can eat up to two Pikmin at a time, or it may feign death before surprising nearby Pikmin and attempting to eat them. Upon defeat, a Dry Bulborb may drop dried meat, which can be used to make jerky.
