In Pikmin: Gold/Silver/Bronze
A Gold Pikmin is a certan pikmin that can act as a captian in place of Olimar or Louie. It is the third phase in its life cycle which includes the Bronze Pikmin (Leaf) Silver Pikmin (Bud) and the Gold Pikmin (flower-duh) All three stages sink in water.

Golden Pikmin are a rare species of Pikmin found only in Challenge Mode. They resemble Red Pikmin, only with golden, metallic skin, and have the strength of Purple Pikmin and the speed of White Pikmin. Golden Pikmin also have a copper-skinned variant with half the strength and speed of a regular Golden Pikmin.
