The Juggling Dirigibug is an older species of dirigibug that has a single large red air sac, its form reminiscent of a hot air balloon. It has a green body like its relative, the Careening Dirigibug, and has six arms instead of two. It rapidly spits up bomb rocks into its claws, then juggles them around until it sees a target, such as Pikmin or leaders. If it does, it will initiate a few of the explosives' countdown timers with a scratch of its claws, and continue to juggle them until they are about to explode. At that point, a Juggling Dirigibug will throw the primed explosives with extreme accuracy at its target, usually exploding on contact with a surface or sometimes even before hitting anything. Juggling Dirigibugs can maintain a constant flow of primed bomb rocks, making them extremely dangerous to be near.

The optimal strategy against a Juggling Dirigibug is to charge directly at the creature, while avoiding its onslaught of explosives, and throwing as many Pikmin onto it as possible. If it has bomb rocks in its claws, however, waiting for it to discard them is a wise move. Throwing enough Pikmin onto it will cause its air sac to deflate, which brings the creature to the ground and opens it to further attack. At this point, it will attempt to flee on foot and is completely harmless until it takes to the air again. However, it is possible to defeat a Juggling Dirigibug without its air sac deflating, and that is accomplished by never throwing too many Pikmin on it or by killing it before its air sac can deflate. The first method makes the battle much longer and harder, so the second method is preferred. If the air sac is still inflated upon the Juggling Dirigibug's defeat, it will burst into a wealth of nectar and spray nectars.
