The Aura Bulblax is a grub-dog that produces a special blue energy that is deadly to all Pikmin types. Much like the Fiery Bulblax, the creature is regularly found sleeping and will not awaken unless it is disturbed. Extreme care must be taken to avoid Pikmin getting too close to the creature and dying to its aura. If the Aura Bulblax is awoken, flee to a safe location and stay there until it returns to its resting spot and continues its slumber. Because the Aura Bulblax is always veiled in an aura that instantly kills all Pikmin types that enter it, the creature may initially seem invincible. Not even water can halt the flow of energy along the creature's backside. However, leaders can punch the creature to death, and bomb rocks can be utilized to defeat it. Other enemies, such as an Armored Cannon Beetle Larva, can be coaxed into harming it. Upon death, the creature's aura dissipates, which allows Pikmin to retrieve its body and bring it to an Onion.
