The Fiery Wolpole is a Fiery Wollyhop in its first stage of life out of the egg and will soon develop into a Young Fiery Wollyhop. Though normally lit ablaze, the water it swims peacefully about completely extinguishes it, which is a major weakness it has against predators such as the also-aquatic Blue Pikmin. However, the Fiery Wolpole knows just how to circumvent this, and that is to make small leaps from and back into the water to tackle them and leaders, as exposure to oxygen will ignite the Fiery Wolpole. When feeling particularly mischievous or desperate, the Fiery Wolpole will even launch itself out of the water toward Pikmin and leaders standing too close to the shoreline. While out of the water, the Fiery Wolpole will flop around on land, serving as a hazard to all but Red Pikmin until it can find its way back into water.
