The Toastyhop has 2 types: a yellow one with an orange underside, and a brown one with a black-and-orange spotted underside. Both have the body type of the Yellow Wollyhop.

Red Wollywogs are fiery relatives of the Yellow Wollywog. They have burning, red skin, and grey eyes. When approached by prey, such as Pikmin or leaders, a Red Wollywog will produce a somber groaning noise before making short hops towards them to make contact with them and set them ablaze. This particular amphituber won't crush Pikmin, and Red Pikmin are most effective against them.

The Crimson Wollywog is a fire-based amphituber appearing in Pikmin: Ultimate Doom. Its appearance is as its name describes: it has bright red skin, light pink legs, and yellow eyes. The Crimson Wollywog sits in one place until Pikmin or leaders approach too closely, upon which it will leap into the air and attempt to land on top of them. However, when the Crimson Wollywog lands, it unleashes a ring of fire that ignites all but Red Pikmin, making it a dangerous foe. It can be attacked using any Pikmin, even Purple Pikmin, but be ready to take action when it jumps.

The Fiery Wollyhop is an amphituber appearing in Pikmin: Wide World. Although the Young Fiery Wollyhop is encountered, no respective wolpole is. It sits idly on land or in shallow water, perpetually cloaked in fire, occasionally croaking or rubbing its face. On land, it leaves patches of flames wherever it sits, and in water, only the submerged portion of its body is extinguished. When a Fiery Wollyhop senses nearby Pikmin or a leader from any direction, it turns to face them, only jumping at them if they get too close. It inflates its throat in mid-air to float for a random but brief period before landing, crushing or burying Pikmin and leaders it lands on and burning survivors. Its jumps cover an equal distance vertically and horizontally. If a Fiery Wollyhop is led too far away from its original position, it makes short hops back to it.
Fiery Wollyhops have an amphibian appearance, with slimy skin, bulging eyes, and 4 legs with webbed feet. The body is taller than it is wide, and features light orange skin, red eyes, and a strange orange-and-brown patch on top.
Since Fiery Wollyhops are perpetually on fire, Red Pikmin are almost required to fight them. An effective strategy is to coax it into jumping, and then pile Red Pikmin onto the creature after it lands, calling them off whenever it is about to land from another jump, as otherwise they are flung off. But be aware that a Fiery Wollyhop may occasionally try to crush the active leader instead of prioritizing getting Pikmin off of itself. Burdening it with the weight of at least 10 Red Pikmin keeps it grounded until it can muster the strength to jump. Charging is largely ineffective, as, unless it's distracted prior, the Fiery Wollyhop leaps out of the way and often lands on the involved Pikmin before they can return. Rock Pikmin throws and Purple Pikmin pounds also harm a Fiery Wollyhop, but put those Pikmin in danger. Upon death, a Fiery Wollyhop keels over onto its side with a low croak, and its body extinguishes, allowing any Pikmin type to carry it.
In ultra-spicy difficulty, fire bursts out from under a Fiery Wollyhop every time it lands from a jump, endangering Pikmin in range and leaving a slightly larger flame patch than usual. It can also flail its limbs in mid-air to slightly adjust its landing position, usually to hover over Pikmin or leaders that moved out of the way, or if it is coaxed into jumping over a pit.
Notes
Data file #1 (all difficulties): Anything a Fiery Wollyhop doesn't crush, it burns.
Data file #2 (ultra-spicy difficulty only): After a Fiery Wollyhop lands, flames burst out from under it.
Olimar's comments
“As is typical of this planet's bizarre evolutionary adaptations, this creature evolved to constantly secrete a chemical from its skin that combusts on contact with air. It would seem painful, but the fiery wollyhop seems acclimated to the sensation of burning alive.”
Shacho's comments
“Like the little form, it could be used to light up Hocotate Freight's buildings if the power goes out... if it doesn't burn down everything first. But, that would mean everything would be lit up?”
Marie's comments
“As cute as fiery wollyhops are and as much as their warm coloration appeals to me, I would not recommend having one as a pet. You can't give it affection unless you have a scorch guard, and more importantly, it would burn down your house and maybe even the entire neighborhood!”
Louie's comments
“Throw out the cooking appliances, this creature cooks itself into a fine roast. Cut open and enjoy.”
Dolphin Lander's comments
“How, I wonder, does a creature like this, that is always on fire, enjoy life? We may not be able to sense it, but maybe it's a miserable lifeform. At least it isn't targeted by any predators... other than pikmin, of course.”
