The Flying Bulborb is a winged grub-dog appearing in Pikmin: Attack of the Zoo. It resembles a round bulborb with yellow skin, a light blue rump with black spots, and a pair of white wings. It is able to fly and attack Pikmin and other enemies, including other airborne enemies, although it will not attack Dwarf Flying Bulborbs, its dwarf counterpart. Grounded creatures can not retaliate against it. A Flying Bulborb may only be attacked when it swoops to grab Pikmin or lands to sleep. Any Pikmin it catches during an attack will be carried into the air and promptly eaten. Purple Pikmin are especially effective against a Flying Bulborb because of their immense weight. While ten or more are latched onto a Flying Bulborb, it will be unable to fly.
