The Gluing Beetle is a member of the scarab beetle family in Pikmin 2... Again? that, instead of using elements to kill Pikmin, uses a sticky glue-like substance to ensnare and attach objects and other creatures to its body, acting as armor for it. Each Pikmin on it is freed after taking thirty damage, but objects require more damage depending on the size and durability. Some Gluing Beetles can also have treasures attached to them, usually from before they are initially encountered.
