The Land of Beginnings is the first area in Pikmin: Planetary Evolution. In it are two treasures not including those in caves: one is the Volatile Smoker, a smoke bomb worth 
× 2,000, and the other the Violet Tyrant, an eggplant worth × 4,000. Red Pikmin are discovered here, immediately outside of the landing site, found fighting a Dwarf Diamondback Bulborb, and are the first Pikmin species encountered. Enemies in this area are usually found clustered nearby the entrances to its caves. Starting from day fifteen, on the tree stump, will be a Colossal Progg egg on odd-numbered days and a Dewblob on even-numbered days. On only day twenty-five and every twenty-five days thereafter will be a Gaseous Bulblax very close to the landing site.
