In Pikmin: Sinister Incinerator, the Planetoid Turret is a strange creature found only in the Dark Forest Cave after defeating the Planetoid Long Legs, which releases the creature from its body during the second phase of the battle. It resembles an Armored Cannon Beetle, but it has three blowholes instead of one, and two mouths from which to fire boulders. Its eyes are also dull blue in color as opposed to glowing teal. Failing to clog all three blowholes simultaneously with thrown Pikmin will result in the creature unclogging them harmlessly. Successfully clogging all three blowholes at once will cause the creature to briefly scuttle around in panic before exploding, releasing the fifth dark spore.
