The Sinkhole Bulborb appears in Pikmin: Evolution Unleashed as an evolved form of a Yellow Bulborb, caused by eating an Evo Pikmin. They are slightly smaller than the size a bulborb typically is, and have a dark orange body, green eyestalks, and green irises. Additionally, their face may be red when hot and blue when cold. They live aboveground and underground, and those above ground are never seen before they attack. They lie in wait under their sinkhole, and once prey such as Pikmin or leaders are sucked in, the Sinkhole Bulborb underneath snatches them up and eats them. Underground, they sometimes meander around their sinkholes. Sinkhole Bulborbs and their sinkholes are not always stationary, even when separate, so be always vigilant.

- “This massive grub-dog has been transformed from a Yellow Bulborb to a bulborb that dwells under the sand to consume the wildlife under and above itself. Once it has adapted to underground life, it will start to thrive in its subterranean habitat. It makes its nest with materials it finds underneath the ground, and once it has made its nest it will start making its hunting route. This creature should be avoided even when its path can be fully identified.”
