The Firewraith may be the ectoplasmic incarnation of a kind of psychic phenomenon. Its appearance is generally humanoid in shape, with the suggestion of a head, body, arms and legs, but without distinct characteristics, and with a fiery, translucent body. The Firewraith's name is a combination of fire, given its fiery appearance, and wraith, which means ghost or phantom.
The Firewraith is a creature similar to the Waterwraith, but instead of being made of water, it is made of fire. It falls from above when initially encountered, rolls around on two stone rollers, and focuses on leaders.

Strategy
Much like the Waterwraith and creature similar to it, Purple Pikmin are the ultimate weakness of the Firewraith. However, because the creature's body is made of fire, they will be burned, making Red Pikmin somehow necessary. This is when a Dual Bud is essential, as they temporarily combine the two Pikmin types to make a Red-Purple Pikmin, which can not only make the Firewraith vulnerable but can harm it too. Once the Firewraith's health is fully depleted, its rollers crumble and it begins to run around the area it was fought in, igniting Pikmin it walks through that aren't resistant to fire. Continuing to attack the creature with Red-Purples will eventually result in its defeat and subsequently its disappearance.
When encountered, the beast falls from the sky and moves around on its stone 'rollers'. It will chase Olimar and any Pikmin nearby, with greater focus on crushing the active Captain. It is invincible to any Pikmin assault, even if petrified, except that of Purple Pikmin. When a Purple lands on or near the Firewraith in a fashion that would stun any other beast, it turns a deep shade of purple not dissimilar to that of the Pikmin that cause this state to come about. This will burn the Purple Pikmin though, so you have to call it to avoid it dying to the burn. Like this, it is vulnerable to Red Pikmin attacks (it will burn any other Pikmin that attempt to attack it). When the Wraith's health has been fully depleted, the rollers crumble and the Firewraith will scoot all around the cave, burning any Pikmin it walks through. Attack with more Purple Pikmin and then you can easily attack it with Red Pikmin. When defeated, it will vanish into nothing, and you will be troubled no more.

After Years
In Pikmin: The After Years, the Firewraith, upon defeat, drops two randomly-colored 20-pellets and one 10-pellet.
In the game, Pikmin:The After Years, this enemy will drop 2 random colored 20 pellets and 1 10 pellet.

The Firewraith is a creature similar to the Waterwraith, but instead of being made of water, it is made of fire. It falls from above when initially encountered, rolls around on two stone rollers, and focuses on leaders.

In Pikmin: The After Years, the Firewraith, upon defeat, drops two randomly-colored 20-pellets and one 10-pellet.
