A spray is an item that can be collected and used at any time, and each has a different beneficial effect. Sprays can be made by collecting several berries of the respective color from spiderworts and then concocting them into a spray dosage, but also can be found in the form of concentrated drops that leaders, but not Pikmin, can absorb. When a spray is used, one is removed from the stockpile and the current leader sprays it into the air around them. The effects are immediate, and for some sprays, it is inconsequential whether or not the target touches the spray clouds as all targets within the radius of the user are affected.
Types
Ultra-bitter spray

This spray is obtained from purple berries. It affects enemies instead of Pikmin. When used, it encases any enemies in the path of the spray in stone for approximately 9 seconds; this is often enough time to kill or severely weaken the beast. If an enemy is killed while still petrified, it crumbles without leaving behind a carcass to produce more Pikmin, dropping nectar or sprays instead.
Ultra-dry spray

This spray is obtained from green berries. When used, it will make an enemy shrivel a bit, temporarily making it more vulnerable.
Ultra-fiery spray

This spray is obtained from orange berries and is very flammable. Using it will send out a jet of flames in front of the user that lasts five seconds. Any enemy that isn't fire-related will take a harsh beating from the fire, and will disintegrate if it is killed by the spray. Non-Red Pikmin can also be burned if they are hit by the spray. Some enemies, like Breadbugs, are immune. Vegetation can be burned too.
Ultra-fishy spray

Ultra-poison spray

This spray is obtained from black berries as well as certain enemies. It is a poisonous spray that deals damage to all enemies caught in the spray's radius, but cannot kill them.
Ultra-refreshing spray

This spray is obtained from light blue berries. Using ultra-refreshing spray will cause jolts of electricity to come out of leaders, who will have an increased running, throwing, and punching speed. Enemies will be temporarily stunned if punched by a leader that has used this spray.
Ultra-salty spray

This spray is obtained from yellow berries, and makes Pikmin three times stronger.
Ultra-spicy spray

This spray is obtained from red berries and is to be used on Pikmin. It has the effect of temporarily enhancing their strength and speed, and make their leaves, buds, or flowers glow red. This makes Pikmin more effective at fighting, building, destroying, and carrying for the 40 seconds it lasts. In some games, it also makes them bloom into the flower stage.

Ultra-sour spray

This spray is obtained from lime berries and is for use on enemies. Enemies struck by the spray will be unable to move.
Ultra-sugary spray

This spray is obtained from yellow berries. This spray is for use on Pikmin, and makes them take longer to eat.
Ultra-sweet spray

This spray is obtained from cyan berries. Using ultra-sweet spray will cause a wave of sweet-smelling gas to waft through the air, which will distract nearby enemies.
