The Tarantulorb is a large enemy found in Pikmin: Decayed Leaf. The creature looks like an Arachnode, having a large, round body with six, spindly legs. Each leg has three sharp claws on the end, with the main body covered in fuzzy, brown fur. The fur is covered in numerous white stripes with a skull painted on the top abdomen of the spider.
The Tarantulorb is a large creature that does not live in a spider web. Instead, it tends to wander around in a small area quite slowly. It will only start moving quickly when Pikmin approach the large creature. The Tarantulorb will ferociously charge Pikmin and snag up to ten of them to consume. Not only can it move fast, it can eat fast too. The Tarantulorb is very agile; Pikmin latching onto the creature will easily get shaked off if the Tarantulorb jerks away or turns into another direction rapidly. That is why Fur Pikmin are best suited for this creature, as they can easily grab onto and stay on the large spider. It may take a while to defeat due to its massive health, but it yields great rewards in the form of seeds and the few nectar it may drop when it dies.
