Desert Clamclamps appear in Pikmin: Connection of the Worlds and are found at the Torrid Desert. They resemble Pearly Clamclamps, though with a yellow coloration to aid in camouflage, and a pile of sand rather than a tongue in their mouth. Whenever a Pikmin lands in its mouth, such as to attack the thin membrane surrounding the valuable pearl resting there, it opens wider before suddenly snapping shut, eating any Pikmin within, and releasing a blast of sand around itself, suffocating all nearby Pikmin except Tan Pikmin. After the membrane is destroyed, the pearl can be recovered for fifty Pikmins seeds at any Onion.
