The Female Mahowkiniser is an enemy in Pikmin: Shipwrecked Stargazers. Unlike the Male Mahowkiniser, females are terrestrial and have a spider-like build. Instead of stripes, their flat abdomen has a bullseye design. Its stinger is short and ineffectual, unlike the male's sickle shape. Female Mahowkinisers will only come out of mahowkiniser nests after the sentry male starts the raid.

Female Mahowkinisers are faster than the males, and only stop spawning once all five males are defeated. They are quick to eat Pikmin, but are incapable of stabbing with their stingers. However, they are capable of shooting balls of venom like mortars. They can be defeated if a single Pikmin is thrown onto them, like with a Dwarf Red Bulborb. When defeated, they break apart into a puddle of green gunge.

If a Female Mahowkiniser gets to the Lumberlift, it will begin chewing through the walls of the base, causing damage. Unlike the males, the Female Mahowkiniser is slower and isn't as efficient at it. If it manages to chew holes through it, then it is imperative that the Pikmin gather regenerating goo from a Rejuvenating Styxshroom to patch up the hole, or else either Olimar or Louie will fall out during takeoff at sunset and get briefly attacked by nocturnal creatures, losing a lot of health for the day afterward.

Notes

Olimar's notes

Unlike the males, female mahowkinisers do general upkeep in their nests. Using their mandibles like tweezers, they grab outside particles that they see as dirty and bring them out of the hive. Every female specimen is capable of reproduction, but only the fittest is capable of being crowned queen. Queen mahowkinisers are only used for mating purposes, and seldom ever leave the nest.

Louie's notes

Fillet the thorax and stuff the resulting cavity with sweet peppers and gouda cheese. Sprinkle on some oregano and bake in the oven. Be aware that the fat of this creature should never be eaten, as it absorbs lots of the harmful bacteria in the environments it lives in.

Ship's comments

Look at this miserable scamp! The way it excitedly rushes towards our only means of survival with malevolent intentions tells me everything. They're trying to keep us here forever!
