In Pikmin: Redemption, Pikmin essence is a Pikmin soul that can be used like a spray. With a handful of exceptions, any enemy it is used on may sprout a Pikmin stalk and begin following the commands of leaders. Affected enemies are resistant to every elemental hazard and can be controlled for the rest of the day or until it dies. Moreover, they can not carry objects and have reduced health compared to their original forms. Pikmin essence does not affect corpses, Bulbmin, bosses, bulbears, Fiery Bulblaxes, Pikious X, and crystal enemies, and dieing Pikmar in the bad ending.
