Challenge Mode in Pikoblitz is unlocked after collecting the Assembly Circuit, a treasure found in Submerged Tower. This mode allows access to remixed versions of the four areas in the main game, having different layouts and enemies, much like Challenge Mode in Pikmin 1. A new area that is not present in the main game is also unlocked.
In each area, players have a certain amount of in-game days to find the baby Overlady Bulblax there. Treasures can be collected to increase the score and reveal a larger, clearer picture of where the Overlady Bulblax is hiding. Additionally, enemies that do not appear in the main game are found in this mode. The only Pikmin a player has at their disposal are types they have discovered in their most completed save game.
