The Skitter Stone is a skitterling appearing in Pikmin 3: Return to the Pikmin Planet. It resembles a rock with legs and a pair of red eyes underneath. Skitter Stones remain completely motionless until Pikmin or leaders approach, causing them to stand up and begin walking aimlessly. Skitter Stones are completely harmless, and the fastest way to kill one is by swarming it.

The Scuttlerock is a member of the skitterling family appearing in Pikmin: Sinister Incinerator. It lives in sandy, barren, or dry areas. It flees when Pikmin or leaders draw near, and is not dangerous. Scuttlerocks move slowly because of their hard, protective shell and may only be harmed with Purple Pikmin pounds.
