The Skycaller is a strange creature in Pikmin: Shadows of the Future that randomly appears above ground. It resembles a small, ovoid organism coated in thick white fur, with two blue eyes, long legs, and a pair of clawed flippers. Its loud, resonating howl has the curious ability to change the weather, whether it be helpful or harmful. It is docile and will not attack the Pikmin, and will flee if disturbed too much. It will only use its weather-howl if leaders are nearby.
Aside from the standard weather conditions, there are some special ones that are caused only by this creature. During firestorms, a temporary condition that clears on its own, the sky becomes bright orange, and small embers will fall from it. During shadow fog, which only dissipates when the Skycaller is defeated, a black fog enshrouds the area, making only the local area visible, and enemies also become more aggressive during this weather condition. During an uberstorm, Wogpoles will fall from the sky for a short amount of time, with a rare chance of any adult wollywog species dropping. Lastly, during a blizzard, a temporary condition that clears on its own, a white fog enshrouds the area, heavy winds and snow will make it hard to walk, and there's a small chance that some non-Cyan Pikmin will freeze.
