The Oiled Wogpole is a species of amphituber in Pikmin: Decayed Leaf. It is a juvenile version of the Oily Wollywog, having a black, oily body of a Wogpole. The creature is harmless, but the oil they live in is hazardous. If out of water, Pikmin that try to attack it will only slip and fail. Oil Pikmin can kill them effectively, and Rubber Pikmin can attack beached Wogpoles without slipping about.
Notes
Olimar's notes
- “The juvenile version of the Oily Wollywog. This creature mainly feeds off of the small plankton which is found in these pools of oil. These plankton are extremely rare, as they are suited to only live in these pools of oil. Due to their slippery nature and habitat, the Oiled Wogpole is rarely preyed upon.”
Louie's notes
- “It’s best not to eat a Wogpole, but rather to eat them in their egg form as calamari! Their flavor is that of anchovies.”
President’s notes
- “Why do people attack these poor creatures? It’s not like they can do anything to fend for themselves... unlike the Wollywogs. They’re so annoying.”
Overlord’s thoughts
- “My children have managed to adapt to even the deepest pools of oil. The amphituber species amazes me; at this rate, I’ll find them living in pools of acid!”
