The Desert Wollywog, in Pikmin X: Deep Freeze is just as it sounds: a Wollywog adapted to extremely dry conditions, specifically the oases of the Unfamiliar Valley. Recognizable by its mottled brown coloration, the Desert Wollywog stores a considerable amount of moisture in its body that is squeezed out when it lands from a jump, creating a splash of water that causes Pikmin to start drowning if they get hit. After two jumps on dry land, however, the Desert Wollywog becomes dangerously parched and will attempt to make a quick getaway back to the water to refresh itself. During this time, it will take additional damage from Pikmin attacks, making for a prime opportunity to defeat the creature.
