The Eiysore is a species of large boss pupilgeist appearing in Pikmin Evolution. Unlike other pupilgeists, this eyesore of one has a toothy mouth, a pair of giant hands with an eye in the middle of each palm, and a pair of frog-like legs. Because of its physiology, the Eiysore has a strange, awkward movement pattern, shuffling around while holding its hands up in from of itself to see. When its vision is obscured, such as while carrying an object with both hands, it will be temporarily blind, also giving it bad coordination overall.

This ghoulish beast makes its initial appearance by falling from above and clumsily getting up, but this buffoonish display belies the dangerous predator it truly is. The Eiysore uses its large hands as both offensive and defensive tools. Its main attack consists of punching the ground in a straight line, crushing anything underneath as well as causing boulders to fall. It can also slam both of its fists onto the ground in front of it, which has the same results as its other fist attack. Perhaps the most intriguing aspect of the Eiysore's hands is that they surge with electricity when rapidly rubbed together, allowing the Eiysore to either shoot small balls of yellow voltage that simply shock Pikmin or project a concentrated beam of green voltage which ricochets off walls and instantly kills Pikmin on contact. However, the latter attack is very slow to execute and requires its full attention to aim. On the defensive side, the Eiysore can use its hands to shield its face. Anything that attacks the hands will only do minimum damage, and the Eiysore can slap any Pikmin attacking its hands onto the ground, crush them, or put them in its mouth to eat them.

Damaging the boss effectively requires attacking its backside, which lacks any sort of protection. Alloy Pikmin are best for this due to their high damage, though a lit Elixer Pikmin can stagger the boss with its resulting explosion. Wisp Pikmin are also useful against the Eiysore because of its electrical attacks; they can disrupt and redirect its attack, stunning it for a decent amount of time, but their fragility makes this maneuver risky. The Eiysore is surprisingly easy to blind as well, which can be accomplished by throwing a watery blue or corrossive green syrup at the eyes on its palms. Water will briefly stun the Eiysore, providing precious seconds to attack, but acid will cause it to run about in agony, rendering it vulnerable for longer than water but requiring chasing it down.

When it has only a sliver of health remaining, the Eiysore will become angry and, in a desperate attack, slam its hands on the ground as hard as it can, causing an earthquake, in turn causing a piece of refuse to fall and land the killing blow to the creature. Overall, the Eiysore is a demented, disturbing creature with a variety of battle tactics at its disposal, but just as many weaknesses.
