Magic is the final hazard in Pikmin 2... Again?, found exclusively in the Final Challenge. It also plays a major role in the Supreme Dweevil's history, shown as a sticker in an ancient mural art style depicting Original Pikmin having fought the Supreme Dweevil once. Its basic form is a pink vapor that swoops in a downward arc toward Pikmin, making them panic and scatter on contact. However, it can exhibit the qualities of other hazards nearby, making it astronomically more dangerous even if the hazard it takes form of is normally resisted by that particular Pikmin. Notably, hazards that magic takes the form of are pink. Only Original Pikmin are resistant to the forms of magic and can neutralize its basic form. The variants of magic include:

  • Fire: bounces in random directions as a ball of flame.
  • Water: moves vertically or horizontally as a moving water puddle.
  • Electricity: periodic lighting strikes in a random location.
  • Poison: a gaseous cloud, lingering in place.
  • Crushing: an anvil that flies up and then falls, crushing any Pikmin underneath.
  • Ice: a cold wind that is shaped like a ring and slowly fades into view, able to freeze Pikmin when visible.
  • Wither: the ground will crack, releasing wither gas like a geyser.
  • Sand: a sand ball that moves diagonally.
  • Slime: a puddle of slime that coats the entire area or sublevel.

Magic is found in the post-ending areas, and ultimately in the Final Challenge, where it appears naturally rather than from a particular source.
