Puddle Alcoves is one of the few dens found in Pikmin: Decayed Leaf. The small den is the first den to be encountered, being located in the Enchanted Shore. Not only that, but this is the first cave explored in general, essentially being a tutorial cave. The den is small and average, being occupied by a few tropical and aquatic enemies and a few treasures. There is no boss to be found in this den, like with most others.
How to reach
The Puddles Alcoves is found near a few puddles of water, with the den itself being on a small piece of sandy land above. A few plants can be found sticking around its entrance and within.

The first sublevel has a few enemies inside. The starting point is a small bump of land. There are 2 blue Carnation Bulborbs found by small pools of water and may block the path for Pikmin to carry the 30 bridge pieces to construct a bridge to a large plateau, where a Watery Blowhog is guarding a treasure. Along with this, there are 2 Young Yellow Wollywogs with a Yellow Wollywog preventing easy access to another treasure in the water.

The second sublevel starts off on another large bump of land. There are multiple bubble geysers surrounding a Nubby Bulborb. Near the blue Nubby Bulborb is a small treasure to collect as well. In a smaller pool of water lays a Water Dumple, with the other 2 Dumples being in a larger pool of water. In that pool is a stick bridge that can be extended to another piece of elevated land. If the Pikmin push the bag where they climb off, the captain can get up there to fight a Hermit Crawmad containing a treasure.

The third sublevel contains a ferocious Whiptongue Bulborb which has a treasure inside of it. To get there, 10 Pikmin must push a cardboard box. After defeating a blue Carnation Bulborb, the bridge pieces behind it can be used to build a bridge upward. Watch out for the Pricklepuff near the bridge. Puckering Blinnows guard the water where 2 other treasures can be found, along with another Carnation Bulborb near the shore and numerous bubble geysers. Another treasure lies behind a dirt gate in the water. The exit to the cave is near the bridge pieces in the water.
