Light is a usually non-fatal hazard appearing exclusively in fan-made Pikmin games. Light as the name suggests is a type of energy taking the form of a glowing formless mass radiating from various items and creatures. Light is a natural substance similar to water and as such its lethality ranges from source to source. In some sources light merely stuns or panics Pikmin, but other sources wield light into an extremely fatal energy that may have the capabilities to instantly kill Pikmin. It should be noted that light itself isn't directly responsible for Sunsets, rather its the absence of light that causes the danger of sunsets as that is what causes dangerous creatures to appear.

Light appears as a hazard in Pikmin: Neo. It is similar to Magnetism and Wind as while it is not usually directly fatal it can cause interruptions that themselves can prove fatal. Light itself is harmless as the sun could be considered a source of light but it doesn't harm Pikmin. Light however could be concentrated to either scatter or induce panic to Pikmin. Flashstools for example flash light to induce panic as a defense mechanism, meanwhile the Gleaming-Eye Bulborb stuns its prey by flashing concentrated light onto its prey. Light however could be concentrated enough to instantly vaporize Pikmin such as in the case with the Pulsating Jellystick which creates a potent aura of light when agitated. Light can also be helpful as creatures such as Prismatic Creep-crab and Reflecting Shinestool can provide and direct concentrated light to help interact with certain devices. Plasma Pikmin are immune to the negative effects of light and therefore should be the ones used to help fight with the more hostile light using forms.
