The Foxtail is a plant used for scenery. It does not affect gameplay at all, as it is only for decoration. This plant appears as a withered grass stalk with a plume of seeds on the tip.

"This plant remains erect after withering and losing its color, so we can only hypothesize about the true color of the plant's plumage. However, local soil analysis indicates trace amounts of dormant seeds, making it not hard to imagine that the area was thick with these plants in the summer."

“This rather large plant looks like a creature's tail of some kind. They are quite common at the Wistful Wild. Speaking of the region, it feels quite a bit different from the last time I saw it. I wonder if the other areas we visited last time will be heavily changed as well? As a side note, I don't think the ship or Louie realize the Wistful Wild is a place we've seen before. It's changed all right, but it's still the Wistful Wild to me.”
