The Dandelion, although an all-too-common weedy plant in the real world, is somewhat rare in the Pikmin games. Dandelions are used merely for scenery and do not affect gameplay. Seeding Dandelions can also be found in the series, but only affect gameplay in Hey! Pikmin. In Pikmin 3, Dandelions evolve from each passing day from bud, to flower, to finally a Seeding Dandelion.

Notes

Olimar's notes

"This perennial grows best in locations with full sun exposure. Its flowers boast countless tiny yellow petals packed together in a head. The species seems to have as many weedlike variants as petals, so more detailed research on these plants would best be left to a botanical research specialist."

Louie's notes

"Young leaves are only suitable in garden salads. Use the flower to add color to your dishes."

In fanon games

Below this point is where users place their version of the Dandelion.

Notes

Olimar's observations

This weed appears occasionally, but it's not as common as I would expect. Perhaps I'm just looking in the wrong places.

Cookin' with Louie
