Bzzzzrt! Avast ye! Trim the sails, swab the poop deck, slice the pumpernickel evenly! Sorry, just getting into character here. A massive, alien vessel awaits us three. Beyond this point of little return, will we scallywags find riches galore, or shall we face the scorn of whatever bilge rats once owned this mighty metallic structure? The path of fate is an unpredictable one... – The Ship's observations.

Spelunker's Locker is the third cave in Creature's Quay in Pikmin: Shipwrecked Stargazers. It takes place in a derelict, rusted shipwreck teeming with brutish beasts that make expeditions dangerous. The purpose of this ship is ambiguous, but it appears to either be a naval or shipping vessel.

How to reach

As with the other caves in the area, aside from Humpback Heights, reaching the entrance requires, at the very least, partial help from Blue Pikmin. On the rainforest island, there is a cliff that not even Yellow Pikmin can reach. A nearby pool of water hides a Sprawlvine bean within a Sputtlefish. Defeat the Sputtlefish and take the bean, with Blue Pikmin.

Plant the bean near the cliff, and it will grow over the next few days. Upon full maturation, this Sprawlvine can be used to reach an area teeming with Tropical Cannon Larvae, alongside numerous Obsidian Candypop Buds for Black Pikmin. Eventually, there will be an open area near the sea, with a Tropical Cannon Beetle. The miniboss guards a pile of fragments that can be used to build a particularly long bridge to reach a dent in the ship's hull. Inside this dent is the cave entrance, blocked by a Glazed Sugluent that Black Pikmin can destroy.

Sublevel 1

The first sublevel takes place in a square chamber of the ship. Shelves surround the four walls, and sand is scattered across the floor. There are two Swooping Snitchbugs that scout from above, planting Pikmin they see as potential prey. Danger truly lies in the other inhabitants of this sublevel; an Orange Bulborb and some Dwarf Orange Bulborbs rest in an out-of-the-way location, guarding the Muffled Cymbals.

There is also an Archertongue Ribbifin hiding on the shelves. This predator uses its tongue to catch prey from afar. The Archertongue Ribbifin holds the Island Diagram. Also on the shelf, possibly hard to see, is the Strongman's Harp. A Crimson Candypop Bud blooms in one of the corners, for adding Red Pikmin to the squad.

Sublevel 2

There are numerous interconnected corridors, with the landing point being in a small alcove. An electric gate keeps the squad from leaving, less they use the Golden Candypop Buds to get Yellow Pikmin. Upon tearing down this gate, the leaders and Pikmin can explore the winding area. Water Dumples and Dwarf Bulbears are standard enemies, but new ones are also encountered: the fire-spitting Geothermal Ribbifin, and the electric Paralic Voltantern.

The Alluring Silo is found on a portion of elevated ground. All Pikmin can reach it, but leaders can not. The Farmground Filler is trickier to get, as it is hidden in an otherwise inconspicuous Wogpole. The Wogpole flops around on solid ground, in an obscured corridor. The hole to the next sublevel is in a corridor directly next to the one the entrance was in, and the two are blocked off by a wall. Beware of the puddles of water in the pathway there.

Sublevel 3

This sublevel takes place much deeper in the ship in what appears to be a weapon stockpile. Shelves of torpedoes line the walls, and a barrel of gunpowder is halfway embedded in the floor at the northernmost point of the room. This sublevel houses a prowling Spotty Bulbear and its kin, alongside a few Watery Blowhogs. A Somnolent Blowhog is also found here, which blows a special powder that makes Pikmin fall asleep. The Alligator Pliers are dropped by the Spotty Bulbear, whereas the Precision Claw is inside the Somnolent Blowhog.

The final treasure of the sublevel, the Conjoined Swords, is hidden behind a puzzle. In the sublevel is a long trail of gunpowder leading into the barrel. The end of this trail is in a small chamber, with both the hole deeper and a Geothermal Ribbifin. Have the Geothermal Ribbifin spit a fireball onto the gunpowder and it will catch fire. The fire trail leads directly into the barrel and causes it to set ablaze. A health wheel will appear above the barrel, and when it is fully depleted, it will explode, busting the wall down. The explosion is quite large but can be avoided if the active captain sidesteps the red, highlighted area on the ground. Inside the chamber revealed is another Geothermal Ribbifin and the Conjoined Swords.

Sublevel 4

This sublevel is square shaped, with uneven piles of sand dotting the area. Pyramid-like stacks of square shaped metal line the room like a checkerboard. There is a dangerous beast in this sublevel in the form of the Landmine Groink, which scatters sensitive explosives on the floor. The Almagamated Stew can be found in the Landmine Groink, and the Oddly Scented Sludge is surrounded by a ring of Shearwigs. The Wendigo Repellent is on the far right of the room, guarded by Polypous Prowlers and Shingleshell Turrusks.

Sublevel 5

Located in the vessel's kitchen, this sublevel introduces Bogus Barnacles, members of the chrysanthemum family that drop from the ceiling and have extendable necks, and resemble goose barnacles. Another new enemy introduced is the Suckerpunch Blowhog, which uses its suction force to latch onto surfaces and is able to stretch and rebound it to hit Pikmin.

The Depth Obsession is in plain sight, on top of a footstool that is too high to reach without Yellow Pikmin. The Do-It-Yourself Rations are inside a pot on its side, guarded by a dirt wall, and the Brinewater Barrel is held by one of the Bogus Barnacles. A pile of sand next to an overturned pot hides a nectar-and-spray-holding Iridescent Flint Beetle.

Located in the pilothouse of the ship, the outside area can be seen from the broken windows, with the lighting depending on the time of day. From under the foot space of the control panels is a Buccaneer Groink, hiding within the shadows. After approaching it, the Buccaneer Groink will come out and begin its attack. There are also two metal hatches from which other shot-fish come out during the battle. After the Buccaneer Groink has been slain, it will drop the Self-Sacrificing Bunker, a "world's best dad" trophy that gives captains heightened immunity to explosions. The exit geyser is located behind the Research Pod.
