The Armurk is a large pillbug-like creature with solid armor that cannot be damaged no matter how many Pikmin are thrown at it. This armor covers almost all of its body except for its tail, which is usually out of reach since the boss is constantly facing leaders and their squad, and its belly, which cannot be reached when the bug is crawling on the floor. Its main attack involves raising its body to stomp down Pikmin, but this attack also exposes the belly, providing an opportunity to cause damage.

It has red skin like its counterpart, the Segmented Crawbster, but it has a brown shell as opposed to a blue one like its relative. It has he ability to climb up walls and the ceiling because of the spikes that are now on its shell. It cannot be defeated the same way as you would for a Segmented Crawbster because it will end up climbing the wall. It still has the rolling attack of the segmented Crawbster though. If it manages to get on the wall, it will head towards the ceiling. Once on the ceiling, It can either smash the ceiling causing boulders to fall or it can fall off the ceiling, creating a large shock-wave that may malfunction your captain's suit.

The creature's hard exoskeleton prevents attacks from the front, so Pikmin must be thrown onto its exposed rear to damage it.

The Reconstructed Crawbster is intentionally much harder to defeat than a normal Segmented Crawbster as it holds one of the Dark Spores. It's difficult to tell if the Reconstructed Crawbster is a half-natural-half-artificial chimera or a machine modeled after normal Segmented Crawbsters. To bring it down, the same general strategy is used: get it to roll into a wall, then throw Pikmin at its vulnerable underside before it manages to defend itself.

The Segmented Crawbster is a crab-like creature has one large arm and an exceedingly smaller left arm. It also has a rather thick shell protecting it. This creature rolls after the active leader, occasionally crushing Pikmin with its hard shell. If it crashes into a wall, it can cause boulders to fall. It will then struggle to get back up in an upright position, and while doing so will expose its weak spot: its flashing underbelly. Eventually, it will then get back up and swing its large arm around back and forth two or so times and continue its assault. Once defeated, the Segmented Crawbster will groan and squeal as it is underbelly explodes violently, spewing goo particles all over the immediate vicinity.
