The Clambering Crawbster is a creep-crab appearing in Pikmin: The After Years. Its calloused skin is red, like the Segmented Crawbster, but its shell is brown rather than blue. Along the back of the Clambering Crawbster's segmented shell is a row of spikes the creature uses to scale walls and venture across ceilings. Because of this, it can not be defeated by coaxing it into rolling into a wall to expose its vulnerable belly; doing so only causes it to roll up the wall, towards the ceiling. Once there, it may either bash the ceiling to cause boulders to rain down, or fall to create a large shockwave that causes the leaders' spacesuits to malfunction. Both attacks can be avoided by ducking into an alcove. After falling, the Clambering Crawbster's spikes become embedded into the ground, providing a lengthy opportunity to damage the creature's exposed belly. What the Clambering Crawbster lacks in vitality it makes up for in strength and ferocity, making for a tense battle.
