The mockiwi family consists of bird-like creatures that have beaks and scaly feet.

Members

Barbed Mockiwi

It has black feathers, a pink face with a darker pink beak, dark brown eyes and feet, and orange-tipped spikes covering a majority of its body. Pikmin and leaders that touch any part of the creature except its face would become impaled on these spikes. Rock Pikmin would have been effective against them.

Crested Mockiwi

The Crested Mockiwi is a more aggressive variant of a Mockiwi. It is mainly purple in color and has a crest of pink feathers on its forehead. Its face and beak are also pink. The Crested Mockiwi is similar to the standard Mockiwi, but has more health and is faster. It also has a unique attack, where it roars and charges towards leaders and Pikmin so that it may eat them. Throwing Pikmin at its head will immediately halt its charge.

Elongated Crushblat

Main article: Elongated Crushblat

The Elongated Crushblat is a passive enemy, although it can crush Pikmin by accident. It is a relative of the Mockiwi that has extremely long legs, and despite the name, it is not related to the crushblat family. It also resembles a real-world flamingo, as it is a pink bird-like creature and even has similar-looking legs. Attached to the back of its knees are small feathers that can be attacked with Pikmin.

Mockiwi

Main article: Mockiwi

The Mockiwi is a round, bird-like creature with a yellow body, a short, wide beak, large brown eyes, and two small vestigial wings. Mockiwis are aggressive creatures that will try to attack prey on sight. They mainly patrol a set path, making clucking sounds as they move about. When they spot Pikmin or a leader, they will give chase. They can also be found sleeping and will begin to patrol once they have been awakened.

Webbed Mockiwi

The Webbed Mockiwi is a mockiwi that fills in the niche for the Webbed Bulbear, the behavior and appearance mirroring one. It can move faster in water than on land.

Whiptongue Mockiwi

Main article: Whiptongue Mockiwi

It resembles other mockiwis but has cream-colored feathers, a reddish-brown face, and a brown bill. Overall, its coloration and behavior strongly resemble that of the Whiptongue Bulborb, and like the Whiptongue Bulborb, the Whiptongue Mockiwi would have caught Pikmin on its long, slender tongue to eat them.
