The spitterspatter family consists of waterbug-like insects that live on the surface of a fluid, and use it offensively.
Members
Honeypot Skeeterskate

The Honeypot Skeeterskate lives on and spits nectar at Pikmin and leaders, making the creature rather helpful in that it provides a way to increase the maturity of Pikmin that are struck by its attacks.
Icewater Skeeterskate

The Icewater Skeeterskate is much larger than its relatives and thrives in cold, arctic climates. It spits cold water at Pikmin and leaders, chilling and eventually freezing anything hit by its attacks. All Pikmin hit by its attacks sink into the bottom of its arena and remain there frozen. Skeeterskate

The Skeeterskate is found exclusively in water. It draws water into a tank on its head, which it then can use to launch water projectiles onto the Pikmin squad. As such, it can be dangerous to Pikmin near the shore.
